COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Switzerland County Pacers put together one of their most dominant performances of the season Friday night, rolling past the Brown County Eagles 56-6 despite a late change in venue that moved the game from Switzerland County's home field to Columbus North High School. With the unexpected change creating a different atmosphere and routine than the team had anticipated, the Pacers showed their ability to adjust and take care of business. Switzerland County wasted little time establishing control, scoring 36 points in the first quarter and adding two more touchdowns before halftime to build a commanding 50-0 lead. The Pacers finished with 237 total yards of offense on just 37 plays, averaging more than six yards per play. The defense was equally impressive, limiting Brown County to just 84 total yards and six first downs while forcing three turnovers, all fumbles lost by the Eagles. Quarterback Aiden Mosley completed 6 of 11 passes for 105 yards and three touchdowns. Masin Stroud was his favorite target, catching three passes for 86 yards and all three passing touchdowns. Stroud also opened the scoring with a three-yard touchdown run, giving him four touchdowns on the night. Haiden Rohrbach added an explosive play on the ground, breaking loose for a 40-yard touchdown run. Brackston Sullivan contributed a touchdown on an 11-yard run, while Drake Ketterer capped the Pacers' scoring with a 31-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Switzerland County's defense contributed to the scoring as well. Aiden Greene returned a Brown County fumble for a touchdown in the second quarter, helping the Pacers extend their lead to 43-0. Rohrbach was a force on both sides of the ball, recording five tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Grayson Levell also recorded five tackles and two tackles for loss, while Noah Mumphrey led the team with six tackles. The Eagles finally reached the scoreboard with a fourth-quarter touchdown, but the outcome had long been decided as Switzerland County secured the 50-point victory. The win was especially encouraging given the late venue change, which could have disrupted the team's preparation and focus. Instead, the Pacers responded with a fast start, a balanced offensive attack and a defensive effort that kept Brown County from finding any sustained rhythm. Now, the Pacers turn their attention to a much tougher challenge. Tecumseh, a highly rated team from the Evansville-area region, will travel to take on Switzerland County this coming Friday on Senior Night. With the season entering its final stretch, the Pacers will look to carry the confidence from Friday's dominant performance into a matchup that will test them on both sides of the ball. Senior Night will provide an opportunity to recognize the players who have helped build the program, while also giving the Pacers a chance to measure themselves against one of the region's top teams.
