Switzerland County Athletics

The Switzerland County Lady Pacers picked up a pair of victories this week, with senior Alexis Mangold earning medalist honors in both matches. On Monday, August 17, the Lady Pacers traveled to North Branch Golf Course to compete against Jac-Cen-Del, South Ripley and Southwestern. Switzerland County posted a team score of 188 to earn the victory. Mangold led the Lady Pacers with a 44 to claim medalist honors, followed closely by senior Payton Stow with a 45. Sophomore Brinley Bear shot a 48, Paige Gregory finished with a 51 and Raven Ashcraft added a 57. Team Scores Switzerland County — 188 Jac-Cen-Del — 229 South Ripley — 236 The Lady Pacers returned to action Wednesday, August 19, hosting Rising Sun, South Ripley, Milan and Southwestern at Belterra Golf Course. Switzerland County once again came away with the team victory, shooting a 205. Mangold earned her second consecutive medalist honor with a round of 43. Stow finished with a 49, Gregory shot a 55, Bear recorded a 58 and Ashcraft finished with a 60. Team Scores Switzerland County — 205 South Ripley — 233 Milan, Rising Sun and Southwestern did not have enough golfers to record a team score.
